The AdSociety Group and US-based Eyeblaster Partner to Provide

Rich Media Ad Serving Platform for Web Advertising in Asia 

Eyeblaster serves Superimposing Digital Ads on Web pages

 

HONG KONG September 11, 2001— The AdSociety Group, a majority-owned joint venture of PCCW (SEHK: 0008, NYSE : PCW [ADR]) and Eyeblaster, a leading provider of rich media ad management solutions in the US announces Eyeblaster’s first pan-Asian strategic partnership.

Under the partnership, The AdSociety Group will serve Eyeblaster “out-of-banner” ads that enable online marketers to deliver rich media ads to users and at the same time provides Web publishers another premium opportunity to increase their revenue stream.

Eyeblaster patent-pending technology enables ad serving of any media formats (such as Flash, animated gif, audio and video files) to online users without interfering in site performance, or requiring a client download. 

Most appealing, Eyeblasters contain rich audio-visual content that engages users and drives them to action. Out-of-banner ads come in a variety of formats, including floating ads that travel across whatever Internet page the user happens to be on, interstitial ads, background ads, full-page overlays, streaming media and many others.

These engaging advertisements travel across and are superimposed on whatever Internet page the user happens to be on according to a pre-determined launching sequence that can be changed in real-time.

Eyeblaster is an Out-of-Banner Ad Management system that allows publishers and advertisers to independently create and manage rich-media ads that appear superimposed on any Web page. Through a friendly online administrative interface, both advertisers and publishers configure all out-of banner ads to be published, including how the ad is positioned, how it moves around on the on the site pages and the ad frequency cap. This is done independently and requires no coding at all. An out-of-banner ad is any type of ad that is not tied directly to the page content.
