AdSociety and AboutVoice Partnership Paves Way for Hands Free Web Surfing for Chinese Netizens

AdSociety, the first pan-Asian broadband advertising, marketing and sales network and a majority-owned joint venture of Pacific Century CyberWorks (SEHK:0008, NYSE:PCW [ADR]) has signed an ad network exclusive sales partnership agreement with leading voice recognition technology provider AboutVoice (HK).
Today marks the official launch of AboutVoice's Web Director, a Web navigation tool that allows for searching and surfing the web using spoken Cantonese and Mandarin. AboutVoice's voice recognition technology enables Internet users to perform voice searches for topics, brand and product names, and services online using the patent-pending Web Director. "AdSociety recognizes AboutVoice's ambition to create additional value and innovation to the Chinese community of Web users. It doesn't change the fundamental way in which users surf, but simplifies the Web surfing experience, and brings visitors to your Web site faster and more intuitively using voice. This application will help companies unify their offline and online branding efforts, and eliminate much of language problems faced by non-English speaking Internet users in the region.
