AdSociety Partners with ETwebs to Expand Broadband Advertising Network in Taiwan

HONG KONG - January 9, 2001 - AdSociety, the first pan-Asian broadband advertising marketing and sales network, today announced it has won the exclusive rights to sell advertising on the new broadband Media Centre of ETWebs, one of Taiwan's leading providers of broadband content and Internet access services over the cable television infrastructure in Taiwan.

ETWebs has integrated its web content and the TV programs of its affiliate cable channel ETTV into the Media Centre to create a brand new interactive TV programming platform broadcasting on both TV and the Internet. Its advanced live broadcasting technology allows users to watch real time TV programming around the world and benefit from distant learning, tele-medication and tele-conferencing.

Currently over 56% of households in Taiwan, approximately 3.6 million, are ETWebs subscribers. ETWebs also has 100% of the market in Hsinchu City, Taiwan's "Silicon Valley." This high penetration of Internet access and tremendous web-TV content provide fertile ground for AdSociety to demonstrate its strength in broadband and online advertising business in this booming market. AdSociety has already secured partnerships with other major European, American and Asian broadband providers including BroadbandExperience, AdventureTV and Woof!Webvision. Voted amongst PCWorld's top broadband sites in Fall 2000, along with Yahoo's Broadcast, Microsoft's Windows Media and Time Warner's Entertaindom, BroadbandExperience is leading the way in the European broadband revolution. AdventureTV has become the leading streaming media company focusing on broadband distribution of interactive content, featuring adventure travel and nature-oriented infotainment. Woof!Webvision is Asia's pioneer Television station on the internet, an online, on-demand TV station which offers 16 channels and a myriad of programmes ranging from Finance/Investment programmes, to webcasts of Conferences, Exhibitions, even Music videos and TV trailers.

"The partnership with ETWebs marks another great milestone in our broadband expansion in the Asia Pacific region", said Patrick Jonathan Wong, founder and CEO for AdSociety. "ETWebs is a key player in the Taiwan broadband market. Leveraging its experience of running multiple media and info technology businesses, this exclusive partnership will enable AdSociety to tap a broader market base and further develop online broadband advertising and e-commerce opportunities in Taiwan."

Edward L.Wang, CEO for ETWebs, said, "AdSociety's pioneering sales experience in Internet and broadband industries match perfectly with our goal to branch into e-commerce and online advertising activities, which we believe will contribute significantly to our revenues in the future. We are confident that this partnership will fulfill our aspiration to be one of the biggest broadband platform provider in Asia". Dedicated AdSociety teams in Taiwan will focus on selling advertising for ETWebs Media Centre with the support of AdSociety's regional sales network.
