AdSociety Announces Key Appoinment to Lead Branding and Communications Initiatives in the Region

AdSociety, the first pan-Asian broadband
advertising, marketing and sales network, and a majority-owned joint venture of PCCW
(SEHK:0008, NYSE: PCW [ADR]), today announced the appointment of Samantha
Chan as director of corporate communications.
The appointment supports AdSociety's push to reaffirm its growth and its strong brand in the advertising industry since the company was launched in June last year. AdSociety is one of the fastest growing interactive advertising sales networks in the region and today has over 100 media professionals in 8 major cities across Asia Pacific. It has also secured a number of joint ventures and partnerships with a number of major media and advertising companies in Asia and the United States and currently sells advertising for more than 700 members websites around the globe. As of immediate effect, Samantha is responsible for all aspects of, and the continual strengthening of the company's public relations, communications and branding exercises in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Samantha will oversee all PR and corporate communications operations for AdSociety's network of regional offices in Beijing, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, and Tokyo. Samantha joined AdSociety from Information Age, a Hong Kong-based Internet content and Web solutions company she co-founded in September 1999. Information Age secured its first round of funding from chinadotcom (NASDAQ: CHINA). As co-founder, she played a multi-faceted and key role in determining the company's strategy, business development, marketing and advertising operations in Hong Kong and Singapore. Prior to her start-up days, Samantha gained wide experience and exposure to the Asia IT vendor, press, public relations, and dot com community as a technology journalist and corporate writer. Samantha has held various writing posts including with PCWorld Hong Kong, a publication of US-based IDG Communications and ITAsia, a regional technology publication.
