Miriam Tong joined The AdSociety Group as the senior vice president of corporate
development, business development group. A qualified solicitor, she has extensive experience in legal and business issues. She resides in Hong Kong and is based in
The AdSociety Group's headquarters in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining The AdSociety Group, Miriam was an associate attorney for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, one of America's leading law firms based in Hong Kong. A key member of the firm's Asia Commercial Practice Group and Asia Communications Practice Group, she focused on regional telecommunications and media-related transactions and regulatory matters. Miriam was also involved in international joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, capital venture funds and corporate finance matters in Asia. Miriam is qualified under the Common Professional Examination Certificate in Laws and the Postgraduate Certificate of Laws. She completed her legal articleship with Woo, Kwan, Lee & Lo, a leading law firm in Hong Kong, where she qualified as a solicitor and joined their Commercial/Corporate Finance Department. She was mentioned in the Who's Who in the World 2000 where she was recognized as one of the top ranking lawyers worldwide. Miriam will be recognized again for her legal expertise in the Who's Who in the World 2001, to be published in this year. Miriam has also been awarded the "Outstanding Achievement Award" and recognized as one of the Outstanding People of the 20th Century by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England, to be published this year. Miriam graduated from the University of Toronto and holds a Joint Specialist Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science with a minor degree in East Asian Studies. |
