Michael Myeong Gil Kim joins The AdSociety Group as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AdSociety Korea, a joint venture between The AdSociety Group and LG Advertising (SEO: 35000), the second largest publicly-listed advertising agency in South Korea and part of the LG Group. In its 38 years of operating history, AdSociety Korea is the first-ever joint venture established by LG Advertising.

Based in Seoul, South Korea, and reporting directly to Patrick Jonathan Wong, The AdSociety Group's Founder and CEO, Michael is responsible for the entire management operations of AdSociety Korea. Michael is leading the company's key business development initiatives to realize the huge revenue opportunities primarily in the broadband and wireless market. South Korea currently has the largest number of broadband subscribers in the world and is the first country in the world where mobile phone subscribers outnumber fixed-line subscribers.

Prior to joining The AdSociety Group, Michael gained in-depth industry knowledge and entrepreneurship skills through his experiences in setting up two Korean Internet companies including Asia Digital Network Holdings, an Internet marketing solutions company, and most recently, Cyber Agent Inc, one of the leading online advertising sales network in South Korea.

As Chief Executive Officer of Cyber Agent Inc, Michael created and implemented the company's vision, business model and defined its long-term corporate strategy. He developed a distinctive new online business model by unifying media consulting work and consolidated both advertising and market research information, to strengthen its media planning and ad placement services such as customized sponsorships, email marketing and rich media formats.

Michael was also the Vice President of Asia Digital Network Holdings and developed a number of leading Internet based interactive and marketing solutions, Web design, and consultancy services. Through his executive management position in both companies, Michael has built an impressive personal network of leading advertisers and media owners in Korea.

Notably, Michael previously held an illustrious career with IBM Korea Inc over a 10-year period in charge of a variety of business units including Interactive, online and sales and marketing. His last position as Manager of Interactive Marketing Team oversaw the company's Internet developments including Web site, and e-commerce shopping mall. During his career with IBM Michael has won eight outstanding awards across Asia for his excellence in Marketing. He is a three time winner of IBM Asia's Direct Marketing Top Gun Awards, a two time winner of IBM's Korea Hundred Percent Club and three time winner of IBM's Asia Pacific Marketing Results Award.

Michael graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul in 1987 with a bachelor of art in business administration and management. He then completed a series of professional and industry related studies in Singapore, USA, Australia and Korea.
